01. Hamlet (1948, UK) Laurence Olivier - Excellent

07. Invasion of the Blood Farmers (1972, USA) Ed Adlum - has redeeming facet
08. Sisters (2006, USA) Douglas Buck - has redeeming facet [D+]
The execution is actually quite solid. Buck approaches the De Palma material with the clinical detachment of an early Cronenberg film, and while this is something to behold (and Buck is a filmmaker I’d like to support), this film falls into the “completely unnecessary remake” category in just too many ways.

09. Twilight Zone SSN 1.16 - The Hitch-Hiker (1960, USA) Alvin Ganzer - quite effective...
10. Twilight Zone SSN 1.17 - The Fever (1960, USA) Robert Florey - more comical than anything else, but fun nonetheless...
11. Twilight Zone SSN 1.18 - The Last Flight (1960, USA) William F. Claxton - Matheson screenplay, this is top notch TW all the way...
12. Twilight Zone SSN 1.19 - The Purple Testament (1960, USA) Richard L. Bare - a little hokey...

29. Uzumaki (2000, Japan) Higuchinsky - has redeeming facet
Spirals? WTF!? Last time I checked these weren’t high on the list of “frightening things.” Let me check and I’ll get back on this…
Addendum 1 day later: Nope. Not scary.

30. Blood from the Mummy's Tomb (1971, UK) Seth Holt - worth seeing
In spite of a plot which has to be one of the worst in Hammer history, this manages to remain watchable, no less for the scantily clad Valerie Leon than for the slick direction of the underrated Holt.

31. Storm Warning (2007, Australia) Jamie Blanks [2008, based on DVD Premiere] - worth seeing [C+]
Nothing groundbreaking here, but there is enough meat in the way the story breaks down the egalitarian husband/wife relationship, that I can see myself referencing this for years to come.

35. Harry Knuckles and the Pearl Necklace (2004, Canada) Lee Demarbre - a must see [B-]
36. Rocket Science (2007, USA) Jeffrey Blitz - worth seeing [C-]
37. Mountain of the Cannibal God (1978, Italy) Sergio Martino - has redeeming facet
38. Twilight Zone SSN 1.20 - Elegy (1960, USA) Douglas Heyes - Beaumont story tries to cram too much into 24 minutes.
39. Away from Her (2006, Canada) Sarah Polley - a must see [B-]
41. Histoire(s) du cinéma (1998, France) Jean-Luc Godard - Masterpiece - Episodes 1 and 2 are close to the finest thing Godard has ever made.
42. Michael Clayton (2007, USA) Tony Gilroy - a must see [B-] - In spite of Capra-esque ending...
