Extremely funny and overlooked comedy that takes the familiar

I could back The Machine Girl as a
sort of wild-eyed fantasy that confronted adolescent bullying vis-à-vis
its off the wall violence and gore. Take the special effects maker of that film,
put him in the director’s chair, and you get exactly what you asked
for, a special effects extravaganza without a hint of substance
or directorial flair. Painfully awful is an understatement.
